About Us

DC3 is the place to be! Whether you’re looking for a church home or if it has been a long time since you’ve attended church, our goal is to welcome you and help you to feel like a part of our family. We invite you to view our Sunday Worship Services at 9:30 am through our website, on YouTube, and on Facebook.

Our History

Disciple Central Community Church (DC3) was founded in January 2008 by Pastor Marcus D. King with just seven committed members and a vision to build a community-centered, faith-driven church. Later that year, DC3 partnered with Johnson Chapel Community Church in DeSoto, Texas—merging two congregations into one unified body with a renewed sense of purpose and leadership. By 2013, DC3 was fully operating under its original name and had grown tremendously, becoming a vibrant church recognized for its heart for people and impact across the region.

What sets DC3 apart is not only its worship but its unwavering commitment to serving others. Our members come from DeSoto, Dallas, and throughout North Texas, creating a diverse family united by love, faith, and a desire to make a difference. Pastor Marcus D. King continues to lead with vision and humility, always seeing his role as both a servant and a catalyst for transformation.

DC3 is passionate about meeting people where they are—physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Through a variety of outreach programs and initiatives, the church addresses critical community needs including homelessness, hunger, employment, reentry from incarceration, education, and youth development. We provide food, clothing, job resources, and shelter support to individuals and families in crisis, with programs that empower rather than enable.
We are especially focused on youth empowerment, believing that investing in the next generation is vital for long-term community transformation. We also support those impacted by domestic violence and individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration. From career support to educational assistance, our mission is to restore dignity, offer hope, and provide practical tools for a better future.

Our Life Enrichment Center offers free counseling services to individuals, couples, and families—providing support for mental health, addiction recovery, marriage, parenting, and more through licensed professionals. The annual Business & Career Expo connects local entrepreneurs and job seekers with resources and opportunities, promoting economic growth and stability.

Internationally, DC3’s WITNESS Missions team partners with ministries around the world in places like The Gambia, Haiti, Jamaica, and the Philippines—building schools, clinics, churches, and delivering clean water and medical supplies. Our global reach reflects our belief that the Gospel is borderless and that love in action can change lives everywhere.

In response to ongoing challenges in our city and beyond, DC3 launched Forever Forward—a bold, faith-led movement and 5-Year Strategic Plan to spark economic and social transformation. Rooted in Scripture and powered by people, Forever Forward is our blueprint to:

  • Empower youth
  • Strengthen families
  • Expand homeownership
  • Develop businesses
  1. Activate community leadership

Born from our deep love for DeSoto and a vision for the future, Forever Forward declares that the Church is not just a place to gather—but a force to rebuild, restore, and revive. We're not waiting on change—we're creating it. By 2030, our goal is simple but profound: to make DC3 a model of what’s possible when faith leads the way.

Because we don’t go back.
We go Forever Forward.

Our Beliefs

God
We believe there is one, and only one, living and true God. God is an infinite, intelligent Spirit that is the maker and supreme ruler of heaven and earth. God eternally exist in three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost, equal in every divine perfection and executing distinct but harmonious roles. (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 4:35, Matthew 28:19,1 Peter 1:2)
The Bible
We believe the Holy Bible was divinely inspired by God and written by men without error. All scripture, New and Old Testament, is good for doctrine, reproofing, correcting, and instructing each other in love. (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, and is the Savior of men. Christ died on the cross for the sins of the world, was buried and rose from the grave and is seated with the Heavenly Father. (Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26 ; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 Corinthians 6:14; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3)
Salvation
We believe Salvation is a gift given through grace that cannot be earned or bought. Salvation requires verbal confession that Jesus is Lord, and belief in your heart that God raised him from the dead in order to be saved. Once you confess and believe you are sealed by the Holy Spirit and your salvation cannot be lost.(Matthew 1:23; Hebrews 7:26 ; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 Corinthians 6:14; Philippians 2:9-11; Hebrews 1:3)
